News & Events

The Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment (BTSA) Induction Program provides situated learning in a state-approved induction program that fulfills requirements to obtain a California Clear Credential.

Nevada County teachers clear their Multiple; Single Subject; Education Specialist; or Career Tech credentials through North Coast Beginning Teacher Program. http://www.ncbtp.org/  The NCBTP utilizes a locally designed formative assessment system.

Beginning teachers explore the process of teaching with the assistance of a highly qualified support provider.  The program is based on the California Standards for the Teaching Profession.

Support is specific and evidence-based.  Attention to learning environment, content standards, formative assessment, reflective practice, and collaboration focuses beginning teachers on how students learn.
